Transforming your data platform: client stories from Coopérative U and V and B at the Salon de la Data & de l'IA Nantes 2025
Coopérative U and V and B tell the story of their data transformation at the Salon de la Data & IA Nantes 2025.

On 16 September 2025, KPC hosted a session at the Salon de la Data & de l'IA in Nantes around one central theme: “Transforming your data platform: the levers of performance and innovation”. Through two concrete client stories – Coopérative U and V and B – the panel brought out the different possible paths for changing your relationship with data and supporting your digital transformation.
Coopérative U: rationalizing and modernizing the data platform
For Nicolas Dupont, Data Architect at Coopérative U, the challenge was clear:
“Our legacy data infrastructure had to change. Migrating to GCP was a strategic decision, backed at the highest level, to rationalize our data warehouse and our data lake.”
The path was marked by an unexpected technical issue: it became impossible to carry on with PowerCenter. Moving to Informatica Cloud IDMC therefore became necessary, turning a constraint into an opportunity to modernize. Today, Coopérative U has an environment that is more agile, better governed and able to fit the new analytical uses.
V and B: building a data-driven IT department from the start
V and B, for its part, took a radically different path. As Omar Aouni, Head of Data, explains:
“The health crisis accelerated our e-commerce project. We had to build a digital foundation quickly for our franchisees and our customers.”
With a fledgling IT department, the retailer chose Informatica Cloud to centralize its data flows and make them reliable.
That choice made it possible to industrialize information exchange, bring in a PIM (Product Information Management) and build a central data platform, the real foundation of the company's digital strategy.
The KPC view: key success factors
Anthony Mindren, Data Platform Practice Lead at KPC, closed the session by setting out what makes a project like this succeed:
“Whether you are building or rationalizing, the paths differ but the principles stay the same: governance, strategic alignment and the ability to deliver value quickly.”
Tie the technology to a concrete business need, to prove the value quickly.
Involve leadership and the business, to bring the organization along.
Break the projects into measurable stages, to secure the transformation.
Modern data platforms: a strategic lever.
These client stories illustrate a conviction KPC shares:
modern data platforms, combined with solid governance, are a lever for performance and innovation.
Whether you are optimizing a legacy estate or building an IT estate from scratch, they open the way to using data in a way that is sustainable, secure and strategic.
