Transforming your data platform: feedback from Coopérative U and V and B at the 2025 Nantes Data & AI Show
Coopérative U and V and B share their data transformation journey at the Nantes Data & AI Show 2025.
Discover how Coopérative U and V and B transformed their data platform thanks to Informatica Cloud IDMC, at the Nantes Data Show 2025.
On September 16, 2025, KPC hosted a conference at the Nantes Data & AI Show around a central theme: “Transforming your data platform: performance and innovation levers”. Through two concrete case studies – those of Coopérative U and V and B – the panel discussion highlighted the different possible paths to evolve one's relationship with data and support digital transformation.
Coopérative U: streamlining and modernizing its data platform
For Nicolas Dupont, Data Architect at Coopérative U, the challenge was clear:
“Our legacy data infrastructure had to evolve. The migration to GCP was a strategic decision, supported at the highest level, to streamline our data warehouse and our data lake.”
This trajectory was marked by an unexpected technical challenge: the impossibility of continuing with PowerCenter. The switch to Informatica Cloud IDMC then became necessary, transforming a constraint into an opportunity for modernization. Today, Coopérative U benefits from an environment that is more agile, better governed, and capable of integrating with new analytical uses.
V and B: building a data-driven IT department from the start
For its part, V and B experienced a radically different trajectory. As explained by Omar Aouni, Head of Data:
“The health crisis accelerated our e-commerce project. We had to quickly create a digital foundation for our franchisees and our customers.”
With a newly established IT department, the brand chose Informatica Cloud to centralize and secure its data flows.
This choice made it possible to industrialize information exchanges, integrate a PIM (Product Information Management) and build a central data platform, the true foundation of the company's digital strategy.
The KPC perspective: key success factors
Anthony Mindren, Practice Lead Data Platform at KPC, concluded the conference by highlighting the success factors of such a project:
“Whether building or streamlining, trajectories differ but principles remain the same: governance, strategic alignment, and the ability to deliver value quickly.”
Link technology to a concrete business need to quickly prove value.
Involve management and business units to get the organization on board.
Break down projects into measurable stages to secure the transformation.
Modern data platforms: a strategic lever.
These case studies illustrate a conviction shared by KPC:
modern data platforms, combined with robust governance, are a lever for performance and innovation.
Whether optimizing a legacy system or building an IT system from scratch, they pave the way for sustainable, secure, and strategic data exploitation.
