As one of the French leaders in payment solutions and a subsidiary of BNP Paribas, FLOA entrusted KPC with the review of its Snowflake Data platform, followed by the implementation of the recommendations: scheduling with Airflow, data quality with SODA, and support for the teams.

FLOA, one of the French leaders in payment solutions, a subsidiary of the BNP Paribas group

FLOA provides consumers with split payments, mini-credits, bank cards, and insurance. Operating in 5 European countries (France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Belgium), the company is a partner to more than 15,000 e-merchants and points of sale, and was elected Customer Service of the Year for the 4th consecutive year in 2024.

In 2019, FLOA launched a major corporate project to build its new Data platform, relying on Talend, Snowflake, Tableau, DataGalaxy, and Dataiku. Within 3 years, this platform achieved real success and experienced extremely strong growth in its usage, leading the Data Factory, BI & Data Analytics teams to reflect on its performance.

FLOA wishes to remain at the state of the art of Data platforms based on its usage, in order to secure its IT system migration and be ready to address innovative topics around AI for Data and business lines.

Our approach

From the architecture review to the deployment of recommendations

KPC conducted the mission in two phases: a comprehensive review of the Data platform, informed by workshops with the publishers, followed by the implementation of the recommendations selected by FLOA.

Definition of the review's objectives: ingestion, scheduling, data quality, CI/CD, and team processes. Workshops and feedback sessions (REX) with editors and KPC consultants, presentation of client case studies and tools to enable FLOA to choose its revised architecture.
